I really think it should be illegal to make and sell rubbish bike locks. You buy a lock and think it'll work against thieves, but there's nothing to say that it will - some D locks can be opened with a biro pen!
It's simple: buy a cheap lock and you're likely to come back to see this:

Unfortunately, any idiot with some sort of Leatherman Multi Tool can break through a lock of plastic and wire locks. Hell, I could get through a wire like that with a pair of scissors, and professional bratty thieves come way more prepared with wire cutters and all sorts. They'll come back with heavy duty bolt cutters if they can get away with it and the bike is valuable enough.
Buy thick metal D locks and lock your frame and both wheels to be safe.

I've been working on a new project recently. I have been trying to make a little science fiction film with my new Lomo Kino camera. Its a short sci-fi horror, and I've built a little miniature set, like they did in the 1950's, with the flying saucers etc. I just needed to light it up, when I discovered the best thing. There is website where you can buy GU 10 LED BULBS to go on the set and make it look super professional. Watch this space for the final product, it couldn't be any more old school and I'm really glad I took this project on.

The move to Cambridge has been difficult for us both, but my beautiful girlfriend has been handling it so well, and I'm just so proud of her.
She's doing really well in her new job and seems to be striking up friendships with her colleagues really easily which is really important in not only a new job, but in a new living environment too.
And last night, her Roller Derby team won against a pretty high-flying and tough competitor, which is amazing considering she's only really started in Roller Derby pretty recently!

I'm just so proud of how brilliant she's being at the moment, so I've ordered a big bouquet of flowers for her that will arrive from flower delivery england just after she gets home from work.
I was thinking of having them sent to her at work, but I don't want to embarrass her or make a big fuss in front of her workmates, she is still new after all!

I have one of these home water filter jug things at home. It's a plastic jug and you put a filter in the middle of it and then add tap water and it filters out all the junk and gives you fresh water.
I bought a new filter for it a couple of weeks ago, and the filter percentage dial said that I now had 100% filter usage left, and quite right. But only a mere TWO DAYS later had that dropped to 75%. Just over a week after first installing it, it was down to 0.

And I didn't buy the knock-off filters either, I bought the proper brand! Now I'm thinking of getting an actual plug in water purifier uk that will have a bit more reliability and longevity.
We have one at work and it doubles up as a hot water dispenser too so it'd be great to have one of those at home, I wouldn't need a kettle then!

I'd always thought that if there were any sporting occasion my lady and I would be going to, we'd both be watching or she'd be cheering me on while I played 5-a-side football or something.
When we moved to Cambridge we wanted to get more involved so I looked up some sporting teams and recreational leagues, and when I came across Roller Derby and suggested it to her.
Neither of us realised how amazing she'd be at it! It's basically a contact sport where two teams of five roller skate in the same direction around a track, and have to score points and knock each other over.

Before one of the Derby girls elbows me, it's not that exactly, there's more to it, but there's no point me going into details on here.
So every Wednesday and Saturday night I'm sat supporting from the sidelines as my elegant lady skates and shoves, mouth-guard and all.
