It simple but incredibly frustrating that no one is willing to invest in anything that is going to last these days. You can buy 6 dishwashers at £100 each that will last you 6 months, or you can buy one for £600 that will last you for 20 years. It may be more money up front, but in the long run you will save so much money and time by investing wisely. Now I not suggesting that just because something is expensive then it automatically means it is better quality. But use your head, do your research. Don't scrimp on the time and money in the first place, only to pack both back 10 fold later on.

That is why I am making big changes to my home. I have gone all "green" as they say. Next time an appliance breaks, I'm not going to have it thrown into a landfill, im going to try and have it repaired, and failing that I am going to recycle it. I am also going to make smaller changes to, like changing all my light bulbs to LED spots and bulbs to save energy and money for me in the long run. They are more durable and cost effective than normal bulbs, and they last a lot longer.

Use your head people, by all means look for good value, but not at the cost of your pocket, or the planet.
